With time, the emotional toll on patients and caregivers in the open ward became clear. So, we’ve taken a step forward. The Cancer Society in Jaffna has leased us land near Tellipalai Hospital for 50 years —extendable for another 50. Work has already begun to plan and build a modern, purpose-built hospice. This dream can only be realised with help from the community and like-minded institutions. Donors can sponsor a room or kitchen, and donations over £1,000 will be permanently recognised by CANE Sri Lanka at the hospice.
