CANE — A Journey of Care

Good morning and Vanakkam. I’d like to thank the organisers of the Thirandal Midduku Network. My name is Kamala Arunasalam, and today I want to briefly share the story of a quiet but vital effort — a journey of care, dignity, and community. This is the story of CANE, a hospice in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and a UK-registered charity established in 1993 to offer free palliative care for cancer patients in the North and East of Sri Lanka. Our guiding vision has always been simple: no one should suffer alone.
